Engineered to protect the TorqueFlite 8-speed transmission where factory filtration ends.

The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission relies on extremely precise hydraulic control through electronically actuated solenoids, clutch-control valves, and a high-density valve body. As mileage accumulates, microscopic clutch material and wear debris remain suspended in the transmission fluid, where they can interfere with hydraulic control accuracy and contribute to harsh shifting, delayed engagement, and long-term component wear.

The Insane Diesel TorqueFlite 8-Speed Bypass Transmission Oil Filter Kit is engineered specifically for 2014–2022 RAM vehicles equipped with the TorqueFlite 8-speed transmission. It provides continuous fine-particle filtration beyond what the factory system is designed to capture, helping reduce contamination load and support long-term transmission reliability in daily driving, towing, and high-heat operating conditions.

Parts Included In This Kit

  • 1 EXTREME2 filter housing (HX2SHBK) (HX2SHBLU) (HX2SHRED)
  • 1 EXTREME2 filter element (EX2ME) with o-rings (GX1/2)
  • 2 In/Out fittings (AN06-04MS90)
  • 1 Mounting bracket with hardware (ZBRCKX12)
  • 8ft hose to be cut to your preference  (LW06BK)
  • 1 1/8 Orifice (1/8 npt restrictor with 1mm port.  Restricts 120 psi to 1.25 gpm)

Oil Return and Oil Pressure System:

Aftermarket PPE Transmission Pan Required (sold separately)

Must use PPE Transmission Pan – Part #: 228053000
